The world’s best swimmers are coming to Carmel this fall! World Aquatics is bringing their Swimming World Cup to North America this fall for a series of three elite competitions. The World Cup Series kicks off in Carmel, Indiana October 10-12 before continuing on to Westmont, Illinois and Toronto, Ontario. Across all three stops, more than 750 athletes from over 50 nations will compete for a share of the $1.2 million prize pool.​

The City of Carmel, officially nicknamed SwimCity, USA, has a rich tradition of swimming excellence grounded in strong community-driven programs. Carmel Swim Club has trained four Team USA Olympians and is delighted to partner with World Aquatics, Hamilton County Sports Authority, and Carmel Clay Schools to host the inaugural 2025 World Cup stop.

Early 1973

Carmel Swim Club founded, establishing the foundation for swimming excellence in our community

1987

Carmel High School girls begin their unprecedented state championship streak

1988

Carmel qualifies first athletes to US Olympic Trials

2008

After having no 18 and under Olympic Trial qualifiers in 2004, CSC launches Operation Omaha to encourage their entire program to dream of excelling at the highest levels of sport

2021

Historic breakthrough: Jake Mitchell and Drew Kibler become Carmel’s first Olympic swimmers

2024

Record achievement: 3 swimmers make Olympic team (Alex Shackell, Aaron Shackell, Drew Kibler) plus tennis player Rajeev Ram
Carmel girls win 38th consecutive state championship – extending national record for any sport
